RetroLinks™ extend the life of a Gulf of Mexico platform

For Quarter North Energy’s SS-80A in the Gulf of Mexico, Deepwater was contracted to install three 36’ RetroLink™ anode strings with 15’ leaders which were suspended from three horizontal standoffs welded to the structure.

The RetroLinks™ were attached to standoffs on tubular members midway between each of the three legs. The platform sits in 25 feet of water.

The minimum potential reading taken before the retrofit was – 683 and the minimum after adding the RetroLinks™ was – 939.

The maximum potential reading taken before the retrofit was – 688 and the maximum after adding the RetroLinks™ was – 947.
