Deepwater blood drive

Blood drive at Deepwater’s headquarters

The nephew of one of Deepwater’s team is battling a rare form of leukemia, and the staff had an opportunity this week to contribute by donating blood in his name to the MD Anderson Blood Donor Center. He’ll be needing a large amount of blood during his treatment and each donation is worth $25 toward his blood bank credits.

On 22 August, Houston’s MD Anderson Cancer Center sent its busy Bloodmobile to Deepwater’s offices and eventually left with blood donations from 34 volunteers. The donations will impact the lives of 84 patients at MD Anderson and provide a credit of $700 to the young child fighting for his life. We’d like to thank everyone who volunteered; Deepwater will continue to support our friend Elias during his tough fight to become cancer-free.

If you've been considering donating blood in Houston, there’s a tremendous need for donors at MD Anderson's Blood Donor Center near the medical center and at their community blood drives all around the city.

The images show some of our volunteers who left work about one pint lighter than they arrived.
