RetroLinks™ and a VampClamp™ installed on Gulf of Mexico structures

Deepwater was contracted to provide RetroLink™ anode strings for three smaller Gulf of Mexico platforms near the Louisiana coast, and a VampClamp™ continuity clamp on a much larger platform nearby.

One platform with four legs and four risers was retrofit with 11 RetroLinks™, each 150 feet in length with 25-foot leaders and were installed on horizontal weld-on stand-offs. Two other structures, smaller caissons in 66 feet of water, each got three 66-foot RetroLinks™ with 25-foot leaders attached via vertical weld-on stand-offs.

The fourth – and largest – platform needed a VampClamp™ installed on an insulated riser flange. The VampClamp™ ensures electrical continuity to both sides of insulated flanges.
