Deepwater, part of Acteon Group, protects our clients' assets from corrosion. We solve corrosion problems and improve anti-corrosion technology to reduce maintenance costs and preserve the integrity of the energy industries' infrastructure.

Deepwater is looking to add an Outside Sales, USA Products team member to our sales department. Under the supervision of the CEO, the Outside Sales, USA Products role is expected to achieve company sales targets for the I-Rod® product line and build the customer base. This includes servicing existing accounts, developing new prospects into customers and planning campaigns to educate new end users, engineers, contractors and distributors about I-Rod. In addition, the candidate will be responsible to convince end users and contractors to include I-Rod in both company and project specifications. They must have an extensive background in sales and must clearly demonstrate his/her knowledge of the piping industry. S/he must also possess a strong customer service attitude, have strong analytical, account management and relationship skills and support a professional, can-do, goal-oriented culture.

**The ideal candidate will reside on the East Coast, but we are considering candidates throughout the US for this opportunity.


  • Achieve bookings targets and other KPIs with your team
  • Execute an effective sales strategy in alignment with agreed upon priorities and sales plans. This includes planning client visits and presentations, as well as responding to client enquiries etc. while maintaining adequate quality and activity levels to effectively promote Deepwater's I-Rod product line
  • Follow up on bids and project tenders in your region, with the aim to convert more opportunities into orders
  • Support distributors and resellers with their clients and look for new distributors in areas of opportunity
  • Submit weekly activity reports, logging all relevant data in Salesforce, and produce timely expense reports


  • Degree-qualified and 5+ years relevant outside sales experience working in our industry (or high school diploma and 10+ years relevant outside sales experience working in our industry)
  • Candidate must have a track record of achieving sales goals and the ability to demonstrate that they can plan and execute sales strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CRM is a plus
  • Sales acumen; presenting and selling based on value, asking questions and listening to customers and using creativity to overcome challenges in closing deals
  • Ability to nurture prospects and customers; taking the time required to build relationships, create trust, boost credibility and grow accounts
  • Desire to continuously learn new skills and strategies to adapt to trends in the ever-changing sales industry
  • Candidate must have strong negotiation, verbal communications and relations skills
  • Must have the ability to 'lead by example' and effectively coordinate with multiple departments including Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Finance and Logistics
  • Must be self-motivated and must demonstrate the foresight to see what needs to be done in the position and have a strong desire to make things happen
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of information and stay focused, including team opportunities and accounts, leads generated from marketing and monitoring customer satisfaction with Deepwater’s execution of existing projects
