Quality and HSE Manager
Deepwater, part of Acteon Group, protects our clients' assets from corrosion. We solve corrosion problems and improve anti-corrosion technology to reduce maintenance costs and preserve the integrity of the energy industries' infrastructure.
Deepwater is looking for a Quality and HSE Manager to oversee the Quality programs at its Houston facility. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising the Quality department as well as have experience working within ISO/OHSAS management systems in a manufacturing environment along with knowledge and management responsibility for managing an HSE department.
The role of the Quality and HSE Manager is to oversee the daily duties and tasks of the Quality, Inspection, Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance departments. This position will provide professional support, assistance and advise on all quality issues to the workforce, contractors and management teams as well as continue to grow and improve the processes of the department including those within the safety and environmental areas
Duties:
* Provide support in achieving and monitoring the Quality Objectives and Targets
* Provide positive leadership and promote the adoption of best practices and process improvements
* Responsible for promoting and growing the Quality and safety culture
* Oversee the timely completion of daily tasks for all direct reports
* Advise management on all matters pertaining to Quality including compliance and other applicable standards
* Conduct and track Quality Training for facility personnel as required by the management systems
* Assist in the maintenance of facility safety records and certificates: ISO, OHSAS, and other regulations
* Brief and instruct sub-contractors on Quality procedures and instructions that their employees are required to comply with
* Prepare, implement Quality plans for proposals and Quality procedures, documents, etc., for internal use
* Conduct regular Quality meetings
* Oversee and lead facility ISO audits
* Corrective Action program (CPAR) work with departments to accept findings, find root cause, define and take actions in a timely manner, follow-up to verify success
* Build on our conversion of quality document transfer from the existing QMS to BMS across organization
* Work with international operations to solidify ISO certification across the organization
Required
* Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred
* 3-4 years relevant experience in Manufacturing Quality and HSE experience
* Experience with manufacturing safety procedures and requirements
* Familiar with SEMS and offshore safety programs
* Eligible for TWIC card
* Must be independent, resourceful and a good team player
* Good initiative, interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to travel to port of departure or supplier facility to conduct safety or quality audits.
* Ability to write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from workforce, contractors, and management teams
* Ability to identify areas of risk and develop measures to reduce and control
