Senior Mechanical Engineer
JOB LOCATION:
Houston, TX
WORK STATUS REQUIREMENTS:
Must have proof of US work status and residency; Deepwater will not relocate for this position.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Understand governing principles of proprietary products.
2. Review all designs and drawings.
3. Develop, design, improve, and repair proprietary products per client requirements and vendor specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Evaluate all ideas for commercial viability.
2. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical confirmation.
3. Perform mechanical interface and structural analyses based on internationally recognized standards.
4. Conduct research that test or analyze the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
5. Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
6. Help prepare technical proposals and presentations for clients and management.
PREREQUISITE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Education: M.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Language: English language fluency in reading, writing and speaking.
3. Computer literacy: Knowledge of MathCAD, Solidworks, ORCAFLEX, AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office, UNIX and Windows.
4. Experience: 2 years’ complex mechanical design experience involving functional and structural analysis.

Standard office environment with occasional climbing of stairs and ladders and carrying of 30 lb of equipment due to business travel.
