Deepwater expands into Norway

Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc., the Houston, Texas based offshore corrosion specialist, is pleased to announce that it has formed Deepwater Norway AS with local Norwegian partner Svenn Magne Wigen. The new company will further enhance Deepwater's presence in the North Sea market.

Deepwater is particularly excited to welcome Wigen into the fold. He’s been in the offshore corrosion-protection business for 12 years, having started at CorrOcean ASA where he worked with oil and gas structures in addition to renewable energy assets. Wigen is experienced in corrosion protection of stainless steel, general cathodic protection and computer modeling. He holds an EN 15257 level 3 cathodic protection specialist certificate and was most recently sales manager at FORCE Technology Norway AS.

“I am really thrilled to get this opportunity to found DW Norway with the management of Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc.,” Wigen said. He hopes to help firmly establish Deepwater in Norway as a high-quality corrosion-control engineering source and product vendor. Wigen said he was motivated to team with Deepwater because of their “hunger for service and product development and short time from idea to action.”
