Deepwater supplies seven RetroPods™ for two platforms in the Gulf of Mexico

Deepwater was contracted by DOF to supply seven (7) RetroPods™ for Cathodic Protection (CP) systems on their Neptune and Shenzi platforms in 4,400 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico. Three (3) pods were placed at the Neptune site with the remaining four (4) allotted to the Shenzi site. Due to sub-surface currents, attached concrete mats were required for stability. Each pod was electrically connected to its platform by dual beam-clamp arrangements, seen below in the bottom right photo. Installation of the pods was done on-site and monitored by Deepwater technical personnel.
