I-Rod® was developed in-house by corrosion engineers at Deepwater in 1987. In order to perform in the tough, corrosive offshore environment, performance and reliability have to be guaranteed. 30+ years later, some of our first installations are still working! Read more here.

Numerous companies have tried to copy the product or sell something similar which will not perform. Authentic I-Rod® anti-corrosion pipe support products are only sold by Deepwater and our authorized distributors. Be sure to request full certs with batch numbers for all orders.

Beware of I-Rod® imitations

FAILED IMITATIONS

I-Rod® material is extremely durable. It can support enormous amounts of weight for long periods of time. While conducting onsite inspections, our techs routinely discover imitations of I-Rod® that have broken or crushed, leaving pipes dangerously unprotected. Usually, these are low-grade imitations, but some use high-quality materials (Delrin and Teflon for example) with the incorrect material properties.

Be sure to request full certs with batch numbers for all orders of I-Rod® material.
