Deepwater installs hanging ICCP anode system to protect the hull of a floating storage vessel
Four hanging impressed-current anode systems used to retrofit the OSI’s failing hull anodes.
Deepwater EU Ltd. installed four RetroSAM (suspended anode module) systems that will protect the hull of an offshore storage installation vessel. Harsh conditions make traditional cathodic protection in this environment impossible, so each system is suspended from a porch and tethered to a second porch for recovery during severe weather. Designed as a joint project between Deepwater EU and Deepwater Corrosion Services Inc. in Houston, the system is designed to protect the hull for 10 years.
