28-year study of I-Rod® performance in the field
The following images were captured in 2017 during a routine topside inspection of the first offshore structure where I-Rod® pipe supports were specified (see the 13-year study for photos of the same support material in 2002). The system was installed in 1989 for less than $10,000 USD. These photos show the long-term success of the system at 13 and 28 years when Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. visited the structures for inspections in 2002 and 2017.

Deepwater engineer assists car crash victims
Deepwater EU Ltd.’s Assistant Project Engineer Joel Evans was about 15 miles northeast of London on December 11 while driving to an offshore assignment when he witnessed a multi-vehicle accident just ahead of him. He immediately pulled over to help the people involved.

US Patent 7,329,336 B2 has been granted to Deepwater Corrosion Services Inc. for the stabilizer with cathodic protection (international patents are pending), marketed by Deepwater as the "SmartMat." (previously CP Mat)

New CP anodes for a 720' platform in less than 2 days
In June 2008, Deepwater Corrosion Services, working in conjunction with Deep Down Inc. and Oceaneering Inc., performed a cathodic-protection (CP) retrofit of a fixed platform in two days. This Gulf of Mexico platform is a large 4-leg, 8-skirt pile fixed jacket, located in 720 feet of seawater.

Deepwater EU Ltd. is established with a new office in the United Kingdom
Deepwater is proud to announce the opening of its new manufacturing facility Deepwater EU Ltd. Located just outside Canterbury, the central location is within easy reach of European ports and main roads to the rest of the UK. The facility will manufacture I-Rod® pipe support equipment and Polatrak™ cathodic protection monitoring instruments and systems, and will act as a marshaling and assembly location for other Deepwater cathodic protection systems.
